12 Questions with Crossfit Games Rookies Lazar and Luka Dukic

25 year old Lazar Dukic and 22 year old Luka Dukic from Serbia are making their Games debuts this year and they’re looking to make big names for themselves as potential rookies of the year.

There are just 2 Crossfit gyms in the capital city of Belgrade, Serbia and yet these two have earned a spot to the Games with impressive performances at the Crossfit German Throwdown where Lazar finished 2nd overall, and Luka 3rd.

We recently asked the Dukic brothers 12 questions about their training, expectations at the Games, best events, and more so the community can get to know them a bit better.

Their answers are below:

Lazar: Great, both me and my brother worked a lot to get here and we will try to make the best of it!

Luka: It feels really good and a little bit unreal but there was a lot of hard work trying to achieve that.

Lazar: Morning – Session 1 – Aerobic capacity / Mid day – Session 2 – Lifting/Barbbell / Evening – Session 3 – Crossfit/Gymnastics

Luka: Average training days usually starts around 9 am where I ususally do some kind of longer conditioning, running, rowing, swimming or some longer workout. Last session of the day usually starts around 6 pm and it consists of one or two classic CrossFit workouts or some high intensity intervals.
