A first look at the 2019 crossfit games athletes

A First Look at the 2019 Crossfit Games Athletes

Now that a majority of the inaugural Sanctionals and the Open for this year are over we currently have a list of 48 men and 48 women on the Games.crossfit.com 2019 Games roster.

This is NOT the complete list of athletes that will be competing at this year’s Crossfit Games, this is just a first look at the top athletes that have qualified so far.

Now that there are different processes of qualification does that mean the athletes will have newer trends in age, weight, and height? For example, were some Sanctionals more friendly to taller or older athletes while others weren’t?

Did some Sanctionals include a disproportionate amount of heavy barbell while others did the same with bodyweight, allowing certain body styles to succeed?

Perhaps the easiest trend to spot is to point out that Crossfit is still not kind to the tall with only 2.1% of men measuring over 6 foot tall and only 4.3% of women measuring over 5’9.
