When it comes to the top athletes in Crossfit they’ve become somewhat of mini-celebrities with a good number of them being household names in the Crossfit community.
And 10 of them have even topped over 1 million followers on instagram.
In true celebrity gossip style we have decided to compile a list of the boyfriends and girlfriends of some of the top Crossfit athletes in the world.
Annie Thorisdottir and Frederik Aegidius
Two-time Crossfit Games champion (2011, 2012) and the “original dottir” Annie Thorisdottir has been dating fellow Crossfit Games athlete Frederik Aegidius for a little over 8 years now and things look good as ever.
Aegidius has been to the Games 5x himself with a career high finish of 15th in 2013.

Mia Hesketh and Phil Hesketh
On Dec. 14th 2018 Mia Hesketh, (Akerlund at the time) set the female record for heaviest snatch recorded in a Crossfit competition with a 228lb/104kg lift.
Phil Hesketh has always been one of, if not the strongest man in any Crossfit competition he competes in, and even boasts a 500lb back squat.
The Heskeths have both been to the Games twice and even competed together on team Alioth in 2019 where they finished 8th.

Mat Fraser and Sammy Moniz
5x Crossfit Games champion (2016-2020) Mat Fraser has been dating non-Crossfit athlete Sammy Moniz for many years now and they are definitely not splitting any time soon.
Sammy Moniz may not be an athlete but she also has a large following on Instagram herself where she posts all the food she makes for Fraser (Feedingthefrasers).

Tia-Clair Toomey and Shane Orr
3x Crossfit Games champion (2017-2019) Tia-Clair Toomey married her coach and long time boyfriend Shane Orr on September 29th 2017 and they have looked very happy ever since.
Not only are they perhaps everyone’s favorite pair but they also are the most successful as a coach-athlete team.

Rich Froning and Hillary Froning
4x individual Crossfit Games champion (2011-2014) and 4x team champion (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019) Rich Froning has been married to his hometown sweetheart Hillary Froning for many years now.
The couple cares for their three adopted children in none other than Cookeville, Tennessee where Rich Froning owns Crossfit Mayhem.
Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson and Betty Asmundsdottir
One of the most consistent athletes in the sport, Gudmundsson has competed at the Crossfit Games 6x and has finished in the top 10 for the past 5 years (3rd, 8th, 5th, 5th, 3rd).
We’re not exactly sure when he started dating fellow Icelander Betty Asmundsdottir, but BKG first posted a picture of them together on November 16th, 2019.
Kara Saunders and Matt Saunders
One of the fittest women of all time and one of the fittest moms on earth Kara Saunders (Webb) has been to the CrossFit Games 7x and has finished in the top 5 three of those times.
She is married to fellow Australian Matt Saunders who served in the military and is now a firefighter.
Brent Fikowski and Claire Fikowski
4x Crossfit Games competitor and 2017’s 2nd fittest man on Earth married his Australian girlfriend Claire on September 24th, 2017 in Bali.
The couple now lives together in Kelowna, Canada where Brent trains.
Patrick Vellner and Michelle Workun-Hill
On October 29th, 2019 three time Crossfit Games podium finisher and 2018’s 2nd fittest man on Earth Patrick Vellner got engaged to his long time girlfriend and fellow ginger Michelle Workun-Hill in Tofino, Canada.
