In the Crossfit world Tia-Clair Toomey needs no introduction. Ever since her first appearance at the Crossfit Games in 2015 she has never finished below 2nd place, going 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st.
And as the first female to ever win the Crossfit Games 3x she obviously knows what she’s doing when it comes to training.
For those of us wondering what her average training day looks like we lucked out.
A few days ago Toomey uploaded a video showing us exactly what she did for one of her morning sessions (1st of 2 training sessions per day).
Here’s what it looks like:
BARBELL COMPLEX
Every 2:00 x 6
- 1 power clean
- 1 hang squat clean
- 3 push jerks
- (All at 80% of 1RM)
BACK SQUATS
- 4×4 at 90% of 1RM

CONDITIONING ON BIKE ERG

- 3:00 @ 100%
REST 3:00

- 3:00 @ 95%

REST 3:00
- 3:00 @ 100%
- 2:00 @ 105%
- 1:00 @ 110%
REST 3:00

This morning session is typical of what you would see with most Crossfit Games athletes, as they prefer to lift heavy along with some mono-structural conditioning in the morning and do WOD’s and skill in the afternoon.
