Heading into Wodapalooza 2020 both Tia-Clair Toomey and Sara Sigmundsdottir were coming off of Sanctionals wins.
Tia had just dominated the inaugural Mayhem Classic where she won 6 out of 7 events and got 2nd in the only one she didn’t win.
Sara had just won the Crossfit Filthy 150 and the Dubai Crossfit Championship, as well as the 2020 Crossfit Open.
With both of these women going head to head at Wodapalooza everyone was excited to see who would come out on top.
The results below:
Through the first 4 events things were even as both women beat each other in 2 events while also each scoring an event win.
Where things got out of hand was in the final 4 events where Tia pulled away from Sara and the rest of the field by dominating with 3 event wins in the final 4 events.

Even though Sara never had a finish below 10th and only 2 finishes outside the top 5, Tia’s 4 event wins were too much.
As of this moment Tia-Clair Toomey has won every Sanctional she has competed in:
- 2019 Wodapalooza
- 2019 Rogue Invitational
- 2020 Crossfit Mayhem Classic
- 2020 Wodapalooza
It looks like Toomey is still the woman to beat and whether it’s going to be Sigmundsdottir, Pearce, or someone else they’re going to have a lot of work to do.
