Crossfit athletes are no stranger to squats, in fact they probably do more squats than any other movement.
There are two reasons for this:
- Squats are a compound movement that benefit strength, aesthetics, and health.
- There are many squat varieties incorporated in Crossfit: back squats, front squats, overhead squats, cleans, snatches, pistol squats, etc.
The average and the elite alike can not escape squatting, but how often is it actually tested?
We decided to look at how many squats Crossfit Games athletes are tested with over a span of four days.

Since some workouts are for max reps instead of a specific work domain, to find out we added up the total number of squats Noah Ohlsen did throughout the 2019 Crossfit Games.
Squats are broken down by type, reps, and workout in which they were included.
