It is no coincidence that the athletes with the highest levels of strength consistently win the CrossFit Games.
In fact, since 2017 the champion on both the men’s and women’s sides has not finished worse than 9th place in any max strength event at the Games.
By being one of the strongest athletes in the field, these athletes have a massive advantage over the others, not only in strength events, but in cardio events as well. The stronger you are means you use less muscle fibers per lift, meaning less energy is used overall, allowing you to complete workouts much faster with less fatigue.
To determine the top 10 strongest men and women at the 2023 CrossFit Games we ranked the athletes using their combined results from 2 events:

Conclusion
An interesting point to notice here is that this year’s overall favorite to win the CrossFit Games, Laura Horvath is also ranked as the #1 strongest woman according to these numbers. Her good friend and podium contender Gabi Migala is also ranked as one of the top 5 strongest women.
