This past weekend we ran a poll on the r/crossfit reddit page and asked the community which pair of Reebok Nanos were the best and why.

We had many different responses but overall 2 models stood out above the others.

The results and responses are below:

Nano 8 – 37.5%

Nano 2 – 25%

Nano 7 – 12.5%

Nano 6 – 12.5%

Nano 4 – 12.5%

The latest Nano 8 has already become the favorite of many crossfitters with over 1/3 of the entire poll choosing the 8 as the best model so far.

The most common reasons why Crossfitters chose the Nano 8 are its comfortability, fit, and stability. 

“This is the most comfortable and supportive nano to date”.

“The 6s were my favorites until the 8 came along”.

“Best fit”.

“Most comfortable right out of the box, by far the most durable, best balance of stability – cushion – and runability”.

Some responses argued that the 8 wasn’t a great running shoe, but as you can see a few others actually stated that they had “good runability” so it seemed that factor depended on the individual.

The Nano 2 was the next most popular model with a quarter of all total responses. It may not be as popular as the newest model 8 especially since it is a few years older, but it definitely has a cult following unlike any of the others.

The most common reason why people chose the Nano 2 over other models were primarily for its comfortability.

“More comfortable than the 8’s”.

“Most comfortable Nanos for running. The other ones are too flat.”

“More foot room”.

The Nano 2 is actually still so well liked among the Crossfit community that Reebok actually brought them back in October of 2017.

Prior to this poll I would have estimated that the Nano 2’s and 8’s would be the most popular which turned out to be true, but I would have predicted that the 2’s would be more so than the 8’s.

Just as surprising is the fact that not a single person voted for the Nano 1, 3, or 5 as their favorite. Perhaps they were all simply overshadowed by the 2, until the model 8 came around.

If you are looking to get a new pair of Nanos it looks like the Crossfit community believes you should go with the Nano 8 or the Nano 2.

The Nano 8 has over 20 different color options for men and women while the Nano 2 only has 4 options (Black, white, Grey, Teal).
